This low calorie Crock Pot Apple Butter recipe is easy and healthy.
By using sweet apples, you're able to cut the amount of sugar by half!
You can have 1/8 cup of this slow cooker apple butter for just 22 calories!

Instructions
Slow Cooker Directions:
Peel, core and slice the apples, placing into the slow cooker as you work.
To the slow cooker, add the sugars, cinnamon, nutmeg cloves and salt, and mix well.
Cook on
low
for about 10 hours or on
high
for 5 hours, stirring occasionally, until the mixture is thickened and dark brown.
Uncover the slow cooker, mix in vanilla and continue cooking uncovered for about 2 hours.
Using an immersion blender, blend the apple butter until smooth. (Or move the mixture to a blender, vent and blend until smooth)
Will holding the fridge for 2 weeks, or in the freezer for 3 months.
Stovetop Directions:
Peel, core and slice the apples, placing into a large pot as you work.
To the pot, add the sugars, cinnamon, nutmeg cloves and salt, and mix well.
Cover and cook on low heat for 4-5 hours, stirring occasionally, until the mixture is thickened and dark brown.
Mix in vanilla and continue cooking uncovered for 1 hour until the liquid has thickened.
Using an immersion blender, blend the apple butter until smooth. (Or move the mixture to a blender, vent and blend until smooth)
Will holding the fridge for 2 weeks, or in the freezer for 3 months.
Instant Pot Directions:
Peel, core and slice the apples, placing into the instant pot as you work.
To the pot, add the sugars, cinnamon, nutmeg cloves and salt, 1/3 cup water, and mix well.
Cover and cook on high pressure for 15 minutes.
Allow to release pressure naturally for 20 minutes, the do a quick release.
Using an immersion blender, blend the apple butter until smooth. (Or move the mixture to a blender, vent and blend until smooth)
If it's still watery, press the sauté button and sauté on medium heat mixing every couple of minutes until it's thickened.
Will holding the fridge for 2 weeks, or in the freezer for 3 months.
