Instructions
Peeled and Cubed Potatoes (all varieties cut in 2 inch cubes):
Rinse and scrub potatoes.
Peel potatoes with a vegetable peeler, if desired, or leave the skin on.
Cut into large 2-inch chunks.
Add potatoes to a large pot and cover with 1 inch of water.
Sprinkle in a pinch of salt and bring to a boil over medium high heat.
Reduce the heat to low and simmer 10-12 minutes until fork tender (when they pierce easily with a fork).
Drain and use in your favorite boiled potato recipes.
Whole Potatoes (russet, gold, red):
Rinse and scrub potatoes.
Add potatoes to a large pot and cover with 1 inch of water.
Sprinkle in a pinch of salt and bring to a boil over medium high heat.
Reduce the heat to low and simmer 15-20 minutes for red and gold potatoes, 25-30 minutes for russet potatoes.
Test to make sure they're fork tender (when they pierce easily with a fork).
Drain and use in your favorite boiled potato recipes.
Whole Small Potatoes (new, fingerling):
Rinse and scrub potatoes.
Add potatoes to a large pot and cover with 1 inch of water.
Sprinkle in a pinch of salt and bring to a boil over medium high heat.
Reduce the heat to low and simmer 12-15 minutes until fork tender (when they pierce easily with a fork).
Drain and use in your favorite boiled potato recipes.
