This low calorie taco pizza recipe is just 307 for 2 large slices (1/4 of the pizza!) and comes with a yummy taco pizza sauce recipe. This homemade taco pizza with refried beans can be made with store bought, or homemade pizza crust (which we have supplied a recipe for) and can include any taco toppings you love. We've included a section on Mexican pizza toppings, and recommend adding all your favorites as the "Optional" toppings are all low calorie and healthy.
If using homemade pizza crust, stretch into a large pizza, add to a baking sheet, and bake for 5 minutes. If using pre-baked pizza crust, skip this step, but place crust on a baking sheet and set aside.
In a large skillet, cook ground meat over medium heat until cooked through. Then drain, stir in taco seasoning and water, and bring to a simmer. Cook, uncovered, for 10 minutes until the liquid is absorbed.
In a medium bowl, combine beans and salsa.
Spread the bean and salsa sauce over crusts. Then top with taco meat, chips and cheese.
Bake for 5-8 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the crusts browned.
Sprinkle with lettuce and tomatoes, and any additional Mexican pizza toppings, cut into 8 slices, and serve with additional salsa.
