Instructions
In a large sauce pot bring 4-6 quarts of water to a boil. Then add in the pasta and cook until aldente (according to package). Then drain and set aside.
Meanwhile, while the pasta cooks start on the burst tomato sauce.
To a large skillet over medium heat, add the tomatoes and cover. Cook for 10 minutes until they start to burst. (Note: if the tomatoes start to stick to the pan, add 2 tablespoons water)
Add in the garlic, salt and pepper, and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the garlic is fragrant.
Pour in the cooked pasta, and toss together, top with basil and cheese (if you desire) and serve hot.
