How to Make a Stir Fry Recipe:

  1. To a medium bowl, combine the soy sauce, water, maple syrup, brown sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil, ginger, garlic and cornstarch. Set aside. 
  2. Heat a skillet or wok over medium-high heat, and spray with olive oil. 
  3. Add the bell peppers, broccoli, and carrots to the pan. Cook for 9 minutes until the veggies start to soften.
  4. Pour in the sauce to the veggies and continue to cook for an additional 1 minute until thickened.
  5. Top with green onions and sesame seeds.

  • 1 ½ tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon packed light brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • ¼ teaspoon toasted sesame oil
  • 2 teaspoons fresh ginger grated or minced
  • 2 cloves of garlic grated or minced
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • Olive oil spray
  • 2 bell peppers sliced into strips
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 carrots peeled and sliced into rings
  • 1 cup snap peas
  • 2 green onions sliced

  2. Very tasty and happy to find a lower sodium Asian-style sauce. For my tastes, it needed heat to balance it out. Sriracha, chili flakes and Szechuan peppercorns (happened to have on hand) did the trick. I also used pretty much whatever veggies I had too.
