You can make this apple cranberry crisp for holidays, or pot lucks. However, I like to make and enjoy it as a healthy dessert. It’s fantastic with some Almond Milk Whipped Cream for a low calorie, high flavor dessert.

How to Make a Skinny Pear Cobbler:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Peel and thinly slice the apples and pears, dropping into a large bowl as you work. Toss in lemon juice to stop them from browning. 
  3. In a large bowl, combine all of the Pear Apple Crisp Filling. Mix together and then add to a pie pan or 9×9 baking dish.
  4. To the same bowl (no need to wipe out) combine the Low Calorie Cobbler Topping ingredients. Mix with your fingers until you can clump together.
  5. Add the cobbler topping to the top of the pears and apples.
  6. Bake for 60 minutes, until the topping is golden brown and the fruit is bubbling.
  7. Remove from the oven and let rest for 30 minutes before serving.

Vegan Pear Cobbler Modifications:

  • Use coconut oil instead of butter in the Pear Apple Cobbler Topping.

Gluten-Free Pear Cobbler Modifications:

  • Use Gluten-free oats, and Gluten-free flour in the Low Calorie Cobbler Topping.
