Ingredients in Egg and Cheese Waffles

If I’m honest, many keto recipes are packed with protein… but not healthy or low calorie.

With that said, I wanted to make a low calorie, healthy version of the popular keto cheese waffle recipe. And I think it’s delicious, plus extra healthy.

Then I took it a step further, and supplied you with 10 chaffle toppings/add-ins to try out.

Low Calorie Tips for Making a Chaffle with Cheddar Cheese:

  • Olive oil spray… you do need to add some oil so the egg and cheese in waffle maker recipe won’t get stuck. But olive oil spray will help you save calories and fat. Plus it’s all natural (unlike cooking spray).
  • Sharp Cheese… you don’t need as much cheese when you use sharp! You get more cheesy flavor for less, plus you’ll save fat, and money!
  • Egg Whites… save the calories and cut out the yolks. I actually like to get the egg whites in the carton at the store. They are cheaper and you won’t have any waste.
