Vegetarian Hot Honey Pizza Ingredients

We made a similar pizza in my first cookbook Lose Weight By Eating… In it we added pear on pizza with rosemary and goat cheese. It was such a hit that the kitchen team ate it before we could photograph it, and we had to make another one!

These pear pizza recipes are even better!! The sweet heat of the hot honey, and the crunch of the pine nuts paired with cooked pears and gorgonzola is simply amazing!

You can swap out the gorgonzola for blue cheese or crumbled goat cheese… choose your favorite (or what’s on sale).

How to Make Hot Honey Pine Nut Pizza:

  1. Preheat oven to 500 degrees. If you’re using a pizza stone, add that in now.
  2. Cover surface and hands or rolling pin with flour. Stretch or roll out the dough ball.
  3. Add the role out dough to a pizza pan, then drizzle with olive oil. Top with pear slices, pine nuts and 1/2 of the cheese.
  4. Bake the pizza in the oven for 10 min, watch closely and spin it 1/2 way through to cook evenly.
  5. Once cooked through, remove from the oven and let the pizza sit for 3 minutes.
  6. Top with remaining cheese, and drizzle with hot honey. Cut into 8 slices and serve.
  7. Special Tip: If using a pizza stone + pizza paddle, add some cornmeal to the paddle (it will help the pizza slide and also give it that “delivery crunch”). Once the dough is stretched/rolled out, add it to the wheel, then add toppings.
